Interbrand takes a further step in its global positioning with the announcement of the appointment of Eduardo Íñiguez as Managing Director of Growth, a newly created position.
Madrid, 26th June 2023 – Interbrand takes a further step in its global positioning with the announcement of the appointment of Eduardo Íñiguez as Managing Director of Growth, a newly created position.
With more than 17 years of experience at Interbrand, Iñiguez assumes international responsibility for leading the consultancy’s growth strategy in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
He will also continue to lead the Growth team in the Madrid office, which was recently established as Interbrand’s hub covering the integrated management of the Iberia, Middle East, and Latin American markets.
“Eduardo’s appointment aligns with our ambition to build international, cross-functional teams to respond more effectively to the diverse needs of our clients around the world. We want to leverage Interbrand’s global positioning to further boost its presence in a number of key markets for our growth in the coming years,” said Gonzalo Brujó, Interbrand’s Global Chief Executive Officer.
Since joining Interbrand Madrid’s Strategy team in 2006, Íñiguez has participated in branding projects for national and international brands such as Iberia, British Airways, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Banco Santander or Inditex, among others. Subsequently, and following his integration into the Client Service team, he relocated to Peru for a span of three years to serve as the Director of Interbrand’s office in the Andean nation. During this time, he spearheaded a myriad of projects across various countries in the continent, catering to clients such as Lima’s City Brand, Primax, Banco Popular Dominicano, Grupo AJE, Banco del Pacífico, Alicorp, Grupo Romero, and Falabella, among others.
Afterwards, he returned to the Madrid office as Director of Business Development and Marketing. In recent years, as Executive Growth Director, Eduardo has contributed to Interbrand’s uninterrupted growth in the Middle East market, where he has been involved in important projects for leading companies such as stc, AlHilal FC, Dubai Holding, AlRahji Bank, Qiddiya, Matarat, or Alsafi Danone, among others.
“Eduardo’s extensive experience in different regions and with all types of brands has allowed him to cultivate a unique ability to understand the diverse expectations of our clients and offer them the best solutions,” said Nancy Villanueva, CEO Iberia & Middle East, and Global Director, Expansion Markets at Interbrand.
“Today, consumer needs demand a renewed approach from brands, focused on building multidimensional and deeply relatable relationships with consumers. For me, it is a privilege to be in daily contact with brands around the world to help them address their challenges from the unique perspective that Interbrand has created,” said Iñiguez.
