TOKYO, Japan (5 January 2017) – Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy, today announced the promotion of Masahito Namiki to Chief Executive Officer of its Tokyo office. Effective immediately, Namiki will report directly to Stuart Green, CEO of Interbrand Asia Pacific.

Previously, Namiki was a Chief Strategy Officer at Interbrand Japan, where he led the delivery of world class brand strategy solutions providing clients with a deep understanding of the strategic issues facing businesses, brands and consumers – and the relationships between all three. Prior to Interbrand, Namiki held positions at Kurt Salmon, McKinsey, GlobalPraxis and PwC.

Namiki has extensive experience across multiple sectors, including Automotive, Retail, Service, Luxury, Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services, Consumer Goods, F&B, Transportation, Industrial, and Infrastructure, among others. He also has expertise in Brand, Strategy, Marketing, Organization, M&A, Operation, Technology, and Innovation.

As CEO of Interbrand Japan, Namiki will be supported by a strong executive team and will be charged with continuing to shape the strategy and growth of the business.

Namiki holds a BSBA from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts with Magna Cum Laude, along with an MBA from HEC Paris in Paris, France and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
