Interbrand’s three Communication Design Red Dots recognise the work carried out for Givaudan (Cologne), Ramón Bilbao (Madrid) and Best Bairro Brands (Sao Paulo)
Madrid, SPAIN (August 10, 2015) — Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy, is pleased to announce that it has received three Communication Design awards at Red Dot for Givaudan (Cologne), Ramón Bilbao (Madrid) and Best Bairro Brands (Sao Paulo). The complete list of winners of Red Dot 2015, one of the most prestigious design and communication awards in the world, will be announced today.
“The Red Dot Awards is a great platform for exposing our creative thinking to a wider professional creative community”, explains Andy Payne, Chief Creative Officer. “Winning is a testament that we have not only satisfied market and client needs but also achieved the highest level in creative ideas, identity and brand experience design”.
The award-winning submission from Interbrand Cologne recognised the rebrand for Givaudan (a leader in the flavour and fragrance industry). Ubiquitous but invisible, Givaudan’s presence needed to be better defined and Givaudan had an opportunity to differentiate from the competition by emphasizing emotional connection over technical know-how.
The proposition “Enjoy the essence. Express yourself” captures the sensuousness and creative spirit behind Givaudan, putting the sensory experience at the heart of the brand. A comprehensive brand re-launch and the rollout of an internal cultural change program delivered clear benefits for Givaudan, including strong differentiation against competitors, worldwide brand consistency, and a more visible, relevant brand that employees are proud to work for.
For Spanish winery Ramón Bilbao, “The intense flavor of adventure”, the winning submission from Interbrand Madrid, celebrates the brand revitalisation through a special edition of multifaceted posters.
The series of posters take us through the different stages of Ramón Bilbao’s travels over the world spreading the story of his wine. Each poster is made up of 4 giant stamps of the journey that create a unique collection. The investment in the brand redesign has contributed to the internationalization of the brand. The poster series has been so successful it is already in its first reprint.
“Best Bairro Brands” (Best Neighborhood Brands), the winning submission from Interbrand Sao Paulo, reflects on what global brands can learn from successful neighborhood businesses.
The Best Neighborhood Brands study shines a light on the influence of neighborhood brands in a world where the community’s opinion is at the centre of the debate. By using a popular visual language, inspired in old-fashioned journal’s ads, the study is formatted as a fun pocket book and has become an inspiring commercial tool.
“To be recognised with three Red Dot awards is a great accomplishment”, says Gonzalo Brujó, CEO EMEA & LatAm, Interbrand. “The creative vision driving our work with these brands has earned Interbrand once again the opportunity to be in the spotlight. We feel honoured.”
