Interbrand Announces Global Leadership Appointments and Global Content Strategy Practice
NEW YORK, New York (18 September 2015) – Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy, is pleased to announce several global executive appointments. Andrea Sullivan has been named Chief Marketing Officer and Paola Norambuena has been named Chief Content Officer. Both Sullivan and Norambuena will be based in New York and report to Jez Frampton, Interbrand’s Global Chief Executive Officer.
Recognizing a significant shift in marketing—its role as internal and external integrator, content publisher, and ROI driver—alongside rapid digital advancement, Interbrand is expanding and deepening its marketing capability and content strategy offerings, investing in these new roles to elevate Interbrand’s marketing efforts and client service offerings. Sullivan and Norambuena will work to leverage and activate Interbrand’s global marketing, communication and business development initiatives.
“It is a very exciting time for Interbrand as we adapt to the evolving needs of our clients,” said Frampton. “The promotion of Andrea and Paola signifies our investment in the future of Interbrand’s global marketing efforts and services offerings. I am confident Andrea and Paola will lead Interbrand through its next stage of growth and development.”
As Chief Marketing Officer, Sullivan will work to integrate marketing and business development activities across Interbrand’s global network. Sullivan will work with regional managing directors to engage new clients and deepen existing client relationships. Sullivan will continue to contribute to the growth of Interbrand’s North American offices in addition to helping to create a global stage for Interbrand’s thought leadership. During her tenure at Interbrand, she spearheaded notable conferences, summits, and events with strategic partners including Harvard, Deloitte, MoMA, NYSE, Yale, World Business Forum, Guggenheim, ANA, Cannes Lions and the United Nations.
In her new role as Chief Content Officer, Norambuena will focus on expanding Interbrand’s global Content Strategy practice—from strategy and creation, to publishing and measurement—cultivating it’s development for both Interbrand and client partners. In addition to managing the creation and measurement of Interbrand’s content offering, Norambuena serves as Publisher of brandchannel—Interbrand’s online brand news publication. Norambuena brings 18 years of experience in marketing and brand communications, ranging across naming, voice, messaging, creative writing, content strategy, training, and global implementation for clients including Kellogg’s, Microsoft, GE, Ally Financial, Thomson Reuters, ING, Voya Financial, John Deere, Tiffany & Co., UPS, NBCUniversal and Mars.
As Norambuena moves into her new role, Fell Grey, former Senior Director of Verbal Identity, is stepping into the role of Executive Director of Verbal Identity for Interbrand New York. Gray will lead the Verbal Identity discipline and be responsible for shaping the practice through her expertise in brand voice, messaging and naming. Prior to joining Interbrand in 2011, Gray was a Director of Creative Strategy at MKTG INC.
