Interbrand to be honored at this year’s iF communication design award ceremony

Husqvarna will receive the iF Label for outstanding design

Munich, 10 February 2011 – At the 2011 iF communication design awards, one of the leading international design competitions, Interbrand received one of the coveted awards for its redesign of the Husqvarna visual identity.

Tilman Fuchs, Creative Director at Interbrand Munich, said, “The brand’s goals were clear. Husqvarna aimed to achieve cult status as an authentic off-road motorcycle brand. This objective provided the central theme for the brand identity and ensured a distinctive positioning in the targeted segment, namely: Race Rebels – Wild at heart. Born to race!”

An international panel of judges selected the winners of the 2011 iF communication design award from among 861 submissions from 27 countries. A total of 231 entries were honored with the iF Label for outstanding communication design. The 30 best honorees will be announced at a ceremony to be held at BMW Welt in Munich and 18 March 2011, and will receive the iF gold award.
