Nancy Villanueva

Managing Director, Madrid

As Managing Director for Interbrand Madrid, Nancy is responsible for managing the brand consulting firm’s business in Spain, while maintaining and upholding Interbrand’s presence and leadership position in the Spanish market.

Nancy insists on the importance of Strategy and Design working in unison to deliver Interbrand’s mission: creating and managing brand value. Her objective with every client is to assure they benefit from inspirational and creative design that is perfectly aligned with insightful and strategic thinking. When this integrated cross-discipline process is carried through, truly successful world changing brands come to life.

She is a firm believer in successfully managing internal teams as well as client relationships so that every project the firm undertakes guarantees the high quality standards (both strategic and design) and professionalism for which Interbrand is known.

Nancy successfully created, established and grew the discipline of Project Management for the Iberian office from scratch. Having begun her career at Interbrand in the strategic area of consulting, she is a firm believer in creating a strong brand strategy in order to build an integrated visual and verbal identity that leads to a successful and innovative implementation which finalizes in additional value for the brand.

Nancy’s professional career began in the United States where for +10 years she held various Marketing positions for leading multinational companies such as Unilever and GlaxoSmithkline. Since joining Interbrand in 2005, Nancy has led branding projects for clients such as: Telefónica/Movistar, Mahou San Miguel, Bankia, Grupo Banco Popular, Elsevier, Euskaltel, etc.

She is currently Vice President for AEBRAND and sits on the Board of Fundación Madrid Ópera Estudio.

Nancy is guest lecturer at Instituto de Empresa’s International MBA Program and ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering and she was a member of jury at Cannes Design Lions in 2014 and in the advertising Korean festival AD Stars 2015.

Nancy studied Business Administration and Marketing at Boston College. She holds a Corporate MBA from New York University.
